The Embassy of the Republic of Korea, Korea Trade-investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and the Center for the Study of Democracy organise the upcoming Bulgaria-Korea Energy Forum, which will take place on 30 October 2025 at the Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia.
Under the theme “Clean, Secure, Competitive: The Energy Mix for Strategic Autonomy“, the forum will address key issues in regional and European energy security, focusing on expanding bilateral cooperation in nuclear energy, clean energy technologies, and sustainable investment.
The event will convene senior policymakers, industry leaders, investors, and experts from Bulgaria, the Republic of Korea, and European institutions. Discussions will highlight opportunities for advancing Bulgaria’s strategic energy objectives through collaboration with Korean partners, including in the area of nuclear new builds, renewable energy, hydrogen, and smart technologies.
Opening remarks and keynote addresses will include contributions from representatives from Korean companies in the energy sector, Korean renowned members of the academia and senior experts from the European Commission. The forum will be followed by a B2B session with participating leading companies in the energy sector from Korea and Bulgaria.
