The Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) has published for public consultation a draft regulation amending and supplementing Ordinance No. 6 of March 28, 2024, on the connection of facilities to the electricity grids, as well as a draft act. The public consultation itself took place on March 17, 2026, at 10:05 a.m.
The proposed texts aim to regulate scenarios where there is a lack of clarity regarding the shared use of transmission capacity by multiple network users; the installation of electricity storage systems in co-located parks when the connected capacity of the generation/consumption facility remains unchanged; the connection of generation facilities when they are expected to include different types of generating capacity; guarantees for connection; and rules for the connection of facilities belonging to operators of closed electricity distribution networks.
